Chad’s latest True Lab Story is about sodium metal’s “vigorous” reaction with water. I did a quick look for some videos and came across this page (click on the pictures for the videos). It’s not bad, but I remember seeing something better a few years ago. If I remember correctly, it was a research group page that had videos of one of their disposal outings that involved throwing leftover chunks of sodium into the ocean. Have you seen it? If anyone has something better let me know and I’ll update this post.
