ANDRE BROWN
CAMBRIDGE, UNITED KINGDOM
Andre is a postdoc at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology. He studied the mechanical and dynamical properties of biological stuff from single molecules to cells during his PhD. As a postdoc, he is exploring the cellular and molecular basis of behaviour using the tiny worm C. elegans as a model system.

PHILIP JOHNSON
TORONTO, CANADA
Philip is a Ph.D. student at the University of Toronto, studying the protein responsible for vision, rhodopsin, on ultrafast timescales. He thinks of himself as a physicist in a chemistry department studying biology, but in fact does none of the sciences justice.
