Dear PLoS,
Why do you have most of your journals on the web at journalname.plosjournals.org, but then give PLoS ONE and the new PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases their own domains?
Signed,
Confused.

The different is where they are hosted. Most of the PLoS journals are currently hosted by our publishing vendor, Allen Press; those journals share the plosjournals.org domain name. In addition, each of those journals can be accessed through other domain names, like www.plosbiology.org. PLoS ONE and PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases are hosted on PLoS servers, so they do not use the plosjournals.org domain.
