The Textbook Industry

by PhilipJ on 3 November 2005

From kottke, an interesting link to a New Yorker article on textbook economics. Some interesting tidbits: textbook sales reach US$5 Billion/year (not that surprising given that my copy of Alberts et al’s MBotC was over CAD$150), while used textbook sales are now reaching USD$2 Billion/year! Also, new textbook editions are directly linked to slumping sales.
