American Scientists

by PhilipJ on 1 September 2005

While I’m not a citizen of the U.S.A., and the stamps used to send snail mail in that country have little to nothing to do with my life, I have always liked that you can get American Scientist stamps, like these. If nothing else, lots of people have probably seen a Feynman diagram, whether they’ve realised it or not.

But given the recent controversy surrounding science (especially things biological like stem cell research, evolution, etc.), let’s hope the next round of stamps doesn’t lose real scientists like Barbara McClintock, Geneticist in favour of God, Intelligent Designer (from Stay Free!).
